Headshot Outtakes | Astoria
Something happens to my trigger finger when taking headshots of kids (this sentence sounds crazy out of context, btw) Panic over missing "the shot" sets in and it takes over, clicking away...click, click, click, click, click, click...DEEP BREATH. It's a little bit of an outer body experience. Only when I come up for air, know I got the winner and review the photos do I see all the gems I caught while chasing "the one." I'm calling them outtakes, but really, they're my favorites. This is when you recognize why the parents want the headshots to begin with. You see their child's personality shine through, what a character they are and just how good they could be, if someone just gave them the chance to shine. P, you had me cracking up while editing!
